a completely handpoked back piece on @raedacted_ finishing at around 53 hours of work.
this piece has it all from a total rework of house turned burning church, free hand flames, and a slight blast under a stunning grim reaper by @worms_in_my_brain
When Raemond initially asked me to do this i thought it was a bit of a joke, my brain immediately said “oh i doubt they are serious about that”, and it wasn’t until he approached me again i realized the weight my agreement to this project would become. to be able to grow with a piece over time has been my biggest teacher, perhaps to reckon with self is a blessing. I am forever seen transparent somewhere here in this magic. Raemond, thank you for your patience with me, for offering me a challenge to do such a crazy silly thing. it is a gratitude that I cannot properly express as words become formless in this level of trust, thank you. this is the last tattoo i made in Philly, we started in winter and finished in the summer heat.
I am thankful to have spent the last few months working in Rae, Chris, and Jolene’s home, i will forever appreciate the opportunity of pure joy it has been to be welcomed in your space!
this piece feels like a love note for the diy philly tattoo scene, I have all my deepest care and love for my peers who have taught me the world. what a treat it has been to start life here and to be encouraged to transform. it has been an honor to tattoo alongside all of you! thank you from the bottom of my ink cap to the marks on skin to the hand that holds. thank you.
