it all started with an idea… 💭
i was working at a dental office when i went to get filler on my sleeve, and my tattoo artist told me to look through pinterest for something cute to fill the gap. little did he know, that advice would light a fire in me to learn how to tattoo.
i already had an ipad and some graphic design skills, so after scrolling through endless tattoo ideas, i thought, “hey… i could do this.”
so i went online, bought all the supplies, and every night after a 7:30–5:30 shift, i tattooed on fake skin until i couldn’t keep my eyes open.
as my confidence grew, i set up a little studio in the front of my house and invited friends over for tiny tattoos.
after building my portfolio, i applied at a studio on iDrive and got the job because i promised to bring my own clients — i never relied on walk-ins. from the start, my business has been online and organic.
after two years, some issues with splits and payment pushed me to open my own studio. in 2023, ink society, a luxury private tattoo studio in orlando, became a reality.
tattooing has opened doors i never imagined — from backstage at janice live, tattooing trevor hall & gone gone beyond, attending conventions, and meeting incredible people along the way.
in 2025, i became a yoga teacher, and in 2026, i’ll be teaching three classes a week, attending a retreat in costa rica this summer, all while still tattooing.
i’m still exploring how to scale my business. my psychology degree was always about helping people, and tattooing + yoga gives me that chance. maybe next year i’ll offer apprenticeships or create a like-minded community for people seeking peace in their own bodies. for now, i’m figuring it out.
cheers to the future. ✨
