My mother’s side of the family is Russian, so I always love doing matryoshka dolls.
I used to have a ton of them growing up, but they’ve been lost to many a yard sale over the years... (thanks mom) 🤦♀️
I’d also welcome some onion dome churches, fabergé eggs, weird/creepy Russian orthodox iconography, and the like. Thank you, Sophie, for your trust 🙏🏼
Speaking of moms and mothers, Mother’s Day was nice. Lilacs were aways a traditional gift to the moms of my family... This year, my 59-year old mom took it upon herself to go on a black ops mission to literally cut (steal) some lilacs off a tree from some random yard. She’s a fucking mad lad.
Meanwhile, my sweet daughter told her whole preschool class that I was stinky... (and everyone laughed, according to her)
Thanks, Violet. You make being a mom pretty damn entertaining. Can’t wait to see what your brother brings to the table.
Happy belated moms day to all you moms out there, especially the tattooer moms I know. There are maybe 5 or 6 of you that I know personally, and just a few I know of beyond that.
It’s a weird job to have when you’re a mom. I’m glad to know the ones I do 💖
