Please always remember one important thing:
A tattoo artist and a painter are two completely different roles.
Having a background in art can be a great foundation — but it’s just that: a foundation.
If you’re a painter, or simply someone with a bit of artistic talent who thinks holding a tattoo machine is like holding a pen, you’re heading in the wrong direction.
Tattooing involves inserting ink into living skin — meaning you’re working directly on someone’s body.
A tattoo artist must not only understand aesthetics, but also skin anatomy, needle depth, machine speed, hand pressure, and how to minimize trauma to the skin.
Before aiming to create a “beautiful tattoo,” you must know how to create a “healthy tattoo.”
A proper tattoo is one that heals well — no infections, no inflammation, and follows the natural skin regeneration process.
Whether it looks “good” or “bad” is subjective, and should never be the sole measure of your pride or self-worth.
Of course, everyone wants a stunning tattoo. But the health and safety of the client’s skin must always come first.
Everything only holds meaning if we’re still healthy.
Money means nothing if you’re gone tomorrow. Likewise, no matter how beautiful a tattoo looks — if it causes serious infection or refuses to heal — it’s time to rethink how we work.
Let’s keep learning, sharing, and growing together — so this craft continues to evolve with both heart and skill.

With respect.
