🌸 Hi everyone, I’m Sylvia 🌸
It’s been a while since I last introduced myself, and with so many new friends here, I thought it was time to share a little more about who I am and what I do.
I’m a tattoo artist based in Vancouver, specializing in Asian-inspired designs. My style draws heavily from Chinese ink painting, with brushstroke textures, flowing lines, and balanced compositions. I often work with animals, plants, and natural elements — symbols that carry both strength and softness. For me, tattoos are not just decoration, but a way to tell stories and capture emotions in a timeless form. Recently, I’ve also been experimenting with portrait-inspired designs, exploring how to bring the same ink painting textures and flowing lines into human figures.
Over the past few years, I’ve had the chance to grow a lot as an artist. I’ve refined my technique, explored larger custom projects, and really leaned into the kind of work that feels true to me: tattoos that are elegant, thoughtful, and created to fit each client, whether they hold a personal meaning or are simply something beautiful to wear.
When it comes to my personality: I might look a little quiet while working, but I actually love chatting with my clients. If you ever come get a tattoo from me, don’t be afraid to start a conversation — I’m always happy to listen and share stories. My goal is to keep the atmosphere comfortable, natural, and friendly.
This year has been especially meaningful for me. I graduated from Emily Carr University in the spring, and later in the summer, I also celebrated my wedding 💍. Both milestones have shaped me in different ways — as an artist, and as a person. It’s been a year of transition, growth, and a lot of gratitude.
Thank you to everyone who’s been following along and supporting my journey. I’m so excited to share more of my designs, my process, and the stories behind the tattoos with all of you.
🖤 Sylvia
