I asked Sam, when the time came, to work with @olivineandivory to design a ring to set my family diamond in a band to match my regular silver/turquoise jewelry, and it's more than perfect.
In 1963, my great granduncle, Ishmael, shot his wife and two daughters, then himself. After his passing, the diamond in his ring was passed to his sister Wilma, then my great grandmother Ursulla, then my grandmother Sylvia, then my mom Deborah, and now to me. I'm honored to get to be the first person to wear it, and in such a gorgeous setting.
Ever since I was told that this diamond was in my family and would be mine one day, I knew my future husband would be giving it to me one day. I'm so grateful that it got to be Sam.
