Christina began her apprenticeship over the summer in
2023. She grew up in Washington state and studied art in New York. Her biggest inspirations are jail love letters and fine line chicano art.

Since she spent time in LA she has taken lettering seriously after feeling its importance firsthand. She saw love letters written in these unique hand-styles and fell in love with the art form. Especially seeing how her brothers and sisters had to adapt to the art forms available to them behind bars, she has a profound respect for bic pen art. That is the same reason fine line is one of her favorites - single-needle tattoos from the penitentiary take a lot of skill to do, and our people have mastered it.
